Henry Rotary Club Pancake/Sausage Breakfast
Every 3rd or 4th Sunday in January, Henry Rotary Club holds their annual pancake and sausage breakfast at the Henry-Senachwine Grade School.  This event brings the community together. It draws a lot of attention in the media.
IL State representative Ryan Spain works the kitchen and serves Pancakes.  IL State Senator Chuck Weaver comes and mingles with the crowd.  Can we get WEEK's Mason Dowling back this next year to do media and Live FB coverage?

Decoy Show
On the second Sunday in February, Henry is host to the largest decoy show in Central Illinois. The decoy show is visited annually by more than 1,000 spectators. Table after table of vendors display decoys, calls, artwork, and collectibles for “sale or trade." The show was started by local resident Don Clark in honor of Charles Perdew and recently celebrated its 40th year in Henry.
Bald Eagle Day
Several Bald Eagles are year round residents near Henry. Several Eagle nests are viewable in the area, especially during the fall and winter. Nesting Bald Eagles do not migrate from the area and have raised several young eagles in recent years. The eagles can be seen soaring over the river in search of fish almost any early morning, but the best viewing is after the trees have shed their leaves. Bald Eagle Day is celebrated on the third Saturday in February at the Henry riverfront and at the American Legion Hall on the bluff of the Illinois River. Sponsored by the Henry Chamber of Commerce.
Easter Egg Hunt
Annual Easter Egg Hunt is in March or April depending on the Easter date. Children come together at Stoner Park to hunt for eggs then visit and have their picture taken with the Easter bunny.  Sponsored by Henry Character Counts.

Fourth of July
In 1921, the American Legion Post fired a Civil War cannon and set off fireworks to celebrate the Fourth of July.  Although the cannon was turned in for scrap at the beginning of WWII, the American Legion has continued with the fireworks on the Fourth of July.  At nearly ninety years, arguably the longest run of Fourth of July fireworks display in Illinois, the dazzling fireworks are now the culmination of a four day celebration in Central Park with a carnival, parades, food, and fun.
Marshall-Putnam County Fair

Each year in July the Marshall-Putnam Fair attracts people from all over to the shows, exhibitions, contests, and entertainment that is our county fair. Livestock judging, flowers, plants, grain, vegetablesfruit, arts, textiles, and culinary judging are a dynamic part of the fair. Horse shows, car show, harness racing, and a demolition derby.

On the third Sunday in August each year, the cities of Henry, Lacon, and Chillicothe and their Chambers of Commerce hold the H-L-C Canoe and Kayak Jaunt from Henry, through Lacon, to Chillicothe. Canoers and Kayakers begin the day with a light breakfast in Henry, and then launch their vessels around 8 AM. A leisurely paddle to Lacon and the paddlers stop for lunch. Launch again and leisurely head to Chillicothe where the participants have dinner.  Sponsored by the Henry Area Chamber of Commerce.
